  Great central location. Lunch menu was modern and also included all the pub classics. Delicious, would highly recommend the Alpine Hotel for Lunch.

  Restraunt has redone it's menu and it was delicious! Couldn't recommend the ploughman's salad more!!

  The alpine hotel was great tonight. Salmon was gorgeous and the honey comb mouse to die for. Well done alpine.

  The food was very good overall, although one of the pieces of roast capsicum I was served hadn't been deseeded at all so that was odd. We were in a large group and were asked to preorder our meals. We did, and also provided names for each meal, so the staff had a list of who was having what. Unfortunately there was a lot of confusion as the staff were calling out orders but not everyone remembered exactly what they had ordered (eg. Rump or sirloin steak? Salad or vegies? Mash or chips?) so some people got the wrong meals. One of our guests was not served his food until the rest of the group had already finished eating (he was refunded later). This could have been avoided if the staff had used the names we provided them with, as we asked them to do several times during service. The manager then blamed us for the issue because we were all talking. Well, we were a group of almost 40 people and it took 15 minutes for everyone's food to be brought out so yes, we were talking. We were not going to sit silently for a quarter of an hour. Honestly, if the manager had simply apologised it would have been fine bit he wanted to argue over whose fault it was so I was not too impressed. 3 stars because the food was good and the waitresses were very nice.

  Good food & drinks. A decent place for an evening. Accommodation is pretty average, shared bathrooms & fairly noisy.
